Jaguar F-PACE vs. Porsche Macan

The Jaguar F-PACE is a performance-inspired SUV that offers multiple exciting engines. The most athletic option is a Supercharged 5.0L V8 engine that gets up to 542 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. This dynamic powertrain can go from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.8 seconds and reach speeds up to 178 MPH.

The Porsche Macan offers several engine options, too, although they're incapable of delivering the same kind of power. Its strongest engine is a turbocharged 2.9L V6 with up to 434 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. While it can go from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.3 seconds, its top speed lags behind at 169 MPH.

All-wheel drive comes standard on both the Jaguar F-PACE and the Porsche Macan. They're both capable of delivering dependable traction in all sorts of conditions. The Jaguar is slightly more prepared, though, with All Surface Progress Control. This low-speed cruise control keeps your vehicle moving at a consistent pace so you can focus on charting the path ahead.

The F-PACE and the Macan welcome you with similar heated front seats in luxurious faux leather: Luxtec in the Jaguar and Sport-Tex in the Porsche. Find your perfect position using the standard 12-way power-adjustable seats in the F-PACE or the Macan’s 8-way version.

Both models provide multi-zone climate control. If you want to further enhance the ambiance within your vehicle’s cabin, simply adjust the 10-color Cabin Lighting in the Jaguar F-PACE to match your drive or mood. The Porsche Macan goes without a similar feature.

The Jaguar F-PACE interior features 32.1 cubic feet of cargo room behind the back seats. It gives you lots of options for loading more, too, with 40/20/40 split-folding second-row seats. With the back row folded down, you'll have a maximum of 70.4 cubic feet of cargo room .

The Porsche Macan has about half the trunk space. It features just 17.2 cubic feet of cargo room with the seats upright. While folding down the second row gives you more space, it can only offer 53 cubic feet of cargo room.

Both SUVs come with a large touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. The Jaguar F-PACE also includes lots of smartphone compatibility. The Pivi Pro infotainment system comes standard with Bluetooth® and both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You can make hands-free calls, stream music, access your apps, and get directions from Navigation Pro.

Thanks to its larger 11.4-inch Touchscreen, you may find the infotainment system in the Jaguar F-PACE more user-friendly. It will show more connective features than the 10.9-inch touchscreen in the Macan. Both SUVs also have voice control to have seamless command over your technology.

The Porsche Connect system also offers some smartphone compatibility. However, it leaves Android users feeling left out by not offering Android Auto™ on any trim level. While it also provides a navigation system, you can't view it in multiple places. The instrument cluster also is not a customizable digital display like the one in the F-PACE.
