The 2019 Jaguar I-PACE Passes Its Final Tests

After 1.5-million miles of testing--including in severe weather and road conditions like the one above, at a test track in Arjeplog, Sweden--the all-new Jaguar I-PACE has graduated from concept car to production model, as part of the brand's commitment to move toward PHEV, EV, and alternative-energy vehicles within the next few years.

It will be available within the coming months in Cleveland and Parma, OH. Contact your local Jaguar team for details.

We discussed Jaguar's plan for electric and hybrid-electric sports cars back in the spring, but we weren't quite prepared for how quickly Jaguar designers and engineers would deliver.

The 2019 Jaguar I-PACE is a fully-formed idea, tested in heat and cold, on highways and desolate back roads, put through its paces again and again to make sure that it was ready to wear the Jaguar badge. If you've been considering making the move to a luxury EV in Garfield Heights, Westlake, or Solon, this is one worth waiting for.

Here are five things about the new 2019 Jaguar I-PACE that we're excited about:

  • An amazing, dramatic style
  • Get a range of up to 240 miles on one full charge
  • All-Wheel Drive comes standard
  • An all-electric powertrain delivers a combined 394 horsepower and 512 pound-feet of instant torque
  • The Jaguar I-PACE can charge up to 80% in as little as 85 minutes
