When you think of Jaguar vehicles, you may think of style, performance, British engineering, and even the old hood ornament that intrigued so many over the years, but when thinking of Jaguar vehicles, does fuel efficiency and hybrid technology come to mind? If you answered no, you're likely not alone, and that's why the folks at Jaguar are aiming to change that. It was recently announced that by the year 2020, Jaguar wants to have half of the vehicles in production be either hybrid, plug-in hybrid, of battery electric. This move comes shortly after the reveal of the upcoming I-Pace concept compact crossover, which is itself a battery electric SUV, and a strikingly good looking one at that!

The upcoming 2018 I-Pace concept compact crossover will be the first production electric vehicle by Jaguar, and is setting the stage for the increase in electric and hybrid vehicles to come. Going electric not only allows these Jaguar vehicles to more fuel friendly on the roads, but with recent engineering breakthroughs, it actually allows them to have a higher performance output as well, with it being estimated that the upcoming I-Pace will be able to go from 0 to 60 mph in around four seconds.

While the upcoming I-Pace won't be available until sometime next year, if you're interested in learning more about any of the current new Jaguar models, we welcome you to join us here at Jaguar Westside in Cleveland, OH to check out our terrific selection of new Jaguar models today!
